About The Position

Traditions Home Health Services is seeking compassionate, skilled, reliable, and experienced Home Health Aides and/or Certified Nursing Assistants for the Dover and surrounding areas. The role involves assisting senior clients, primarily Veterans, in their own homes with Activities of Daily Living, household support, and companionship. Shifts are available 7 days a week, including morning hours like 8am-12pm, 9am-12pm, 11am-2pm, and 9am-3pm. Requirements

  • Home Health Aide Certification or CNA Certification
  • 2+ years experience working with your Certification
  • Must be kind, compassionate, reliable, and skilled
  • Must have experience working with Dementia
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a CORI check
  • Current TB test, QuantiFERON Gold Test, or X-ray
  • Speak, read, write the English language clearly, and effective communication skills
  • Must own a cell phone

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living and personal care
  • Assist with light housekeeping
  • Encourage walking and exercising
  • Encourage stimulating conversation
  • Assist with activities and exercise according to the Care Plan
  • Encourage fluid intake and assist with meal preparation in accordance with orders/Care Plan
  • Competently document shift activities digitally using a smartphone
  • Report any concerns to the Traditions Home Health Services Office Support Team in a timely manner
