About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with experience in mental and behavioral health to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with individuals diagnosed with conditions such as paranoia and schizophrenia, and be skilled in providing patient-centered, respectful care.
Schedule: 1pm - 9pm Sunday - Saturday

Requirements

• Proven experience working with patients with schizophrenia, paranoia, or other serious mental health disorders (required)
• Active CNA certification (required)
• Experience in mental health, behavioral health, or psychiatric settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations

Nice To Haves

• CPR/BLS certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Willing to drive patient on outings, possibly travel
• Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility)
• Monitor and document patient behavior, mood changes, and vital signs
• Support patients experiencing mental health challenges with patience and empathy
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and healthcare team members
• Follow care plans and safety protocols, including de-escalation techniques when needed
