About The Position
Human Touch Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their home healthcare team. As a CNA, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Your primary role will be to assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor their health status, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Requirements
- Must have a current Colorado State CNA License
- Active certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Compassion, empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move patients safely, as required
- Dependable and punctual with a commitment to patient care
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliably commute to Colorado Springs, CO or planning to relocate before starting work
- License (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home healthcare or a related field preferred
- 1 year of Home Health experience (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: bathing, eating, dressing, hygiene, mobility, exercise
- Household Care: housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, dietary aide
- Companionship: conversation, reminders
- Provide assistance with bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
- Help patients with walking, transferring, and physical exercises as prescribed
- Assist with medication reminders and adherence as per the care plan
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and changing bed linens
- Engage patients in conversation and provide emotional support and companionship
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in health status to healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and observations
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Follow infection control procedures and ensure a safe environment for patients
