About The Position

Hanley Foundation, a non-profit organization based in West Palm Beach, aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support. We seek a compassionate and organized Certified Nursing Assistant who shares our passion. This role will be part of a supportive and collaborative team and work alongside top-notch professionals to deliver exceptional care to our patients. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is pivotal in our patient care. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for the safety and monitoring of patients who cannot perform their own activities of daily living (ADLs). Schedule for this position: Wednesday – Sunday, 2 pm – 10 pm Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of state-approved CNA certification training course.
  • Minimum of two years of experience required.
  • If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is required.
  • Understanding of basic patient care principles, including ADLs and infection-control standards.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, HIPAA requirements, and patient confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
  • Proficient documentation skills for patient reports.
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple patients' needs efficiently.
  • Ability to follow instructions and protocols consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold all Hanley Foundation Health Care Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain client/potential client confidentiality following Hanley Foundation's Policy.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), which include, but are not limited to: - Bathing - Toileting - Dental Hygiene - Ambulating - Transferring - Help with feeding if necessary
  • Assist nurses and other staff as needed.
  • Daily reports/documentation on patients.
  • Assist patients who are cognitively impaired in getting around campus and to appointments.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
