Job Description This position is an entry point for the pool of qualified applicants to be selected for anticipated part-time temporary positions working under the guidance of the Texas State Technical College Corporate College. Instructors may be required to develop customized training curriculum and /or provide instruction for workforce development and industrial training clients.
Requirements
- Current LVN or RN license in the State of Texas, in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience within the last 3 years, with direct patient care in a long-term care facility, hospital, clinic, or similar setting.
- Must meet Texas Health & Human Services (HHSC) requirements to teach Nurse Aide Training.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience teaching, training, or supervising CNAs, nurse aides, or patient care technicians.
- Strong understanding of infection control, documentation, patient safety, and state testing requirements.
- Ability to deliver classroom, lab, and clinical instruction that meets Texas Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
- Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
- Complete documentation including grades, etc., as required by the supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
