About The Position
The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong background in healthcare. The day-to-day duties of this role include planning and preparing meals, helping clients with mobility around or outside of the house, and providing personal hygiene assistance. BENEFITS Can be full-time or part-time, 6:00AM-6:30PM, every weekend required, will receive an additional 8 hour bonus if eligible for a weekender program RATE OF PAY: $17.22 - $19.22 PTO Benefits Shift Differentials - $3.65 /hr for hours worked between 3PM-7AM Weekend Premium Tuition and Student Loan Reimbursement Hiring Bonus Referral Bonus Response Pay: Additional $15 for Picking Up 4 hr shift within 72 hours of the shift Health Insurance including Blessing Be Well At Work Program Dental Vision 401K Employee Assistance Program Holiday Premium Paid Bereavement Paid Meals
Requirements
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation every single day
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work weekends and holidays
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Supportive and compassionate
- Must be certified in the state of IL as a CNA
- Take pride in providing high quality care
- Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
- Assist clients with ambulation
- Help with mobility
- Assist with physical therapy exercises
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
