Yoakum Community Hospital is seeking compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team in both Full-Time and PRN roles in our Med-Surg department. Requirements

  • Current and valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • A genuine, demonstrated interest in the well-being and recovery of patients.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar clinical or hospital role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Policy Compliance: Supporting and adhering to all Nursing Service and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Direct Patient Care: Providing top-notch care in strict accordance with established hospital protocols.
  • Patient Advocacy: Serving as an advocate for individual patients to ensure they receive the highest level of care and attention.
  • Dignity & Respect: Interacting with patients and their families with the utmost respect, maintaining dignity and strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Effective Communication: Maintaining clear and professional communication with patients, families, and fellow healthcare team members.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently utilizing hospital resources, equipment, and supplies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adaptability: Maintaining openness to temporary reassignments to different areas or work functions based on hospital needs.
  • Regulatory Standards: Ensuring full compliance with all state and federal guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Stress Management: Remaining composed under pressure and effectively coping with challenging clinical situations.
  • Task Management: Accepting and completing delegated tasks within your professional scope of practice.
  • Patient Responsiveness: Responding promptly to patient needs using a calm, engaging, and professional approach.
  • Documentation: Accurately documenting all required patient information in the appropriate medical records.
  • Quality Improvement: Actively participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives and adhering to all policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Support: Performing other clinical or administrative duties as assigned by your supervisor.
