Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California
- CPR certification preferred
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Skilled nursing and long-term care setting
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents
- Ability to lift and move residents with assistance and proper equipment
- Ability to work evening hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Report all changes in residents’ conditions to the Charge Nurse or Nurse Supervisor promptly
- Accurately document care provided in flow sheets, charts, and notes
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, and toileting
- Measure and record vital signs (TPRs) and weights as instructed
- Monitor residents routinely to ensure comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met
- Record food and fluid intake and report changes in appetite
- Participate in shift reports and communication hand-offs
- Assist with restorative and rehabilitative care as directed
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and resident-centered environment
- Cooperate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure quality care
- Perform additional duties as assigned
