Weekend Caregivers Needed – CNA (Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 11:00am–7:00pm)
About The Position
We’re seeking a reliable, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who is available to start as soon as possible to support a 71-year-old older adult with significant health challenges requiring full assistance with all activities of daily living. The client has very limited mobility, needs repositioning every two hours, and requires hands-on support walking with a walker and transferring between the bed, chair, and wheelchair. Speech is slow, communication is limited, and the caregiver must offer patient, gentle direction throughout the day. The client also experiences swallowing difficulties, so careful monitoring during meals is essential.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience (family or professional)
- CNA/GNA certification
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance (if driving clients)
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and occasionally lift/pivot up to 50 lbs
- Clear background check, two professional references, and current TB/PPD or screening
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support, including sponge bathing, dressing, grooming, and overall hygiene maintenance
- Change adult briefs regularly and ensure comfort and proper cleanliness
- Prepare simple, appropriate meals and encourage adequate hydration
- Assist with feeding as needed and closely monitor for swallowing concerns
- Offer timely medication reminders for multiple daily medications and supplements
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive home environment
- Accommodate occasional visits from close friends while preserving a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere
