About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens Certified Nurse Midwife position in Eureka, CA, specializing in general Certified Nurse Midwife duties within an outpatient service setting. The role is clinical only, with coverage starting as soon as possible and continuing on an ongoing basis. The shift schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. This position is supplemental to the existing staff. The average daily patient volume is 18, with a case mix including high-risk and low-risk OB patients, as well as newborn care. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system. The credentialing timeline for this position is estimated to be between 30 and 90 days.

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC)
• Licensed in CA
• Active DEA required
• BLS certification
• NPR certification
• 3 Peer References
• Proficiency in dating ultrasounds

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the office preferred
• EPIC experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinical care for high-risk and low-risk OB patients
• Perform dating ultrasounds
• Provide newborn care
• Maintain chart closure within 72 hours
• Collaborate with clinical team in an outpatient setting
