About The Position

Mt Olympus Rehab and Nursing in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). They are a close-knit group where providing residents the best care possible is their #1 priority, striving to improve the lives of residents, their families, and staff. The company offers a "Nursing Tuition Reimbursement" program, allowing eligible employees to receive up to $500 a month (pre-tax) for nursing school. No contract is required, but eligibility requires working part-time or full-time and completing the first 90 days of employment.

Requirements

• An active CNA Certification, in good standing, issued by the state of Utah
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, etc.
• Able to make decisions independently when warranted
• Knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures
• Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long term care

Responsibilities

• Answer residents' call lights to determine need
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
• Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
• Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff
