Under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse, the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) performs direct resident care duties within the scope of their professional certification and assist in maintain a positive physical and psychosocial environment for the residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and changing bed linens. Transfer and reposition residents safely to and from beds, chairs, and other areas. Support and participate in resident activity programs. Prepare residents for meals and snacks, assist with feeding as needed, and accurately record food and fluid intake. Follow daily care plans; perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures; monitor and report changes in resident condition to the charge nurse; document care on resident records and flow sheets; and report accidents or incidents promptly. Adhere to safety and sanitation policies and promptly report injuries or violations to a supervisor. Understand, comply with, and promote all regulations and policies regarding resident rights, and encourage peer compliance. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and regulatory representatives while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges. Fully trained and capable of serving as a Transportation Aide. Participate in training, educational activities, staff meetings, and orientation of new peers. Perform other duties as assigned.
