Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope of practice and standards of care. This position reports to the Director or Department Manager. Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information (PHI) Accessed: Demographic, clinical, insurance, financial, and complete medical records. Exposure: All employees may have occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing and walking; lifting and moving patients; repetitive hand and arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
