About The Position

Skills of Central PA (Skills) provides support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health challenges throughout central Pennsylvania. We offer services in 17 counties throughout the region and employ approximately 1,000 people in a variety of professional, clinical, and direct support roles. We currently have openings for Direct Support professionals w/ CNA in York, and Adams counties including York, Hanover, East Berlin, New Oxford, Biglerville, Manchester and Windsor to discuss with you! Our only daylight positions that are currently open are weekend positions (every other weekend). We have part-time evening and overnight positions in East Berlin, New Oxford, Biglerville, Hanover, Manchester, York and Carlisle. All full-time and part-time positions require a weekend (every other weekend) and holiday rotation. NOTE: Pay rates are based upon experience. Skills is seeking Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) to work in our residential group homes. CNAs are the key to the services we provide people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The job is challenging and rewarding. As a CNA you will: Use person-centered thinking to thoroughly understand the wants and needs of the people you support and what is important to/for them. Support people with their daily living needs, independence skills, and personal care (e.g., grooming, bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, cooking, cleaning, etc.) Administer medication(s), after you receive thorough training and certification. Complete documentation, daily as required (must be able to use a computer). Plan parties, games, crafts, outings, and other activities based on the interests of people you support. Drive people to and from fun community activities and appointments (this may include driving a van or larger; driver training is provided). Help the people you support build meaningful relationships in their communities and become a part of their support system at home. Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Eligible to work in the United States
