Position Synopsis: The Certified Nurse Aide – Home Care provides personal care services to participants of Elderhaus Inc., ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medication reminders, and performing ADL assistance. This role requires adherence to infection control protocols and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of a Nurse Aide I education program.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Registration with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Service Regulation, Health Care Personnel Registry as a Certified Nursing Aide I (CNA-I).

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience providing care for elderly adults preferred.
  • Has completed a course in delivery of personal care services desired OR has one year experience in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance according to the participant’s care plan, including bathing, grooming, dressing, mouth care, skin and hair care, and ambulation.
  • Assist with self-administration of medication through verbal reminders.
  • Perform essential household services, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing.
  • Report and record changes in the participant’s condition or family situation to Elderhaus staff, and follow the Infection Control Plan using universal precautions and appropriate PPE.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations, work with assigned participants as needed, and complete other duties as assigned by the RN-Aide Supervisor or Agency Director.
