Requirements

• Must have a valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in North Carolina
• Previous experience in behavioral health or long-term care preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Strong observational, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic care setting

• Previous experience in behavioral health or long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions, medication administration, and pharmacy stock monitoring under nurse supervision
• Perform UDS, COVID, and pregnancy testing; sanitize equipment and dispose of medical waste
• Interview patients, take vital signs, and complete health screenings and referral forms
• Document patient observations, vitals, treatments, and test results in the EHR
• Maintain a safe, secure, and confidential care environment
• Prepare patients for in-person or telemed appointments with medical prescribers
• Provide medication and home care education; answer patient questions
• Perform other duties as assigned by the center director or senior management
