About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at ASCENT Hiawatha. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support our medical staff in delivering exceptional services to our patients. This position is part-time with eventual growth opportunity to full-time. Clinic is open Monday-Friday. No weekends or holidays. Requirements
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including taking medical histories and vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care
- Ensure a clean and safe environment in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care
