Certified Medical Assistant - Lisle - Oncology
Position Highlights:
Full-Time, 40 hours
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, hours varying from 8:00-6:00pm
Location: Lisle, IL but will have to travel to 40 S. Clay Hinsdale, IL also
Step into a dynamic and rewarding role within our fast-paced Oncology department, home to three full-time physicians, two rotating physicians, and six advanced practice providers dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
We are currently rebranding our Integrated Oncology Program into the Brian Moran Cancer Institute, where we are expanding multi-disciplinary clinics designed to elevate the patient experience and enhance collaboration across specialties.
As part of our ongoing growth, we are also building a robust research department, bringing innovative clinical trials to a community-based setting and offering our patients access to cutting-edge therapies close to home.
Medical Assistants in our department enjoy varied schedules between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on physician needs—with no weekends or major holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following: American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required
