About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA ) in the Otolaryngology Clinic provides assistance in the examination and treatment of the patient, under the supervision of the Physician, Physician's Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner in the ambulatory setting. Additionally, work requires the ability to gather and exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain medical center polices, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or medical center employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.

Requirements

• High school graduate/GED required.
• Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant training program required.
• 1-2 years experience as a CMA in an ambulatory setting is preferred.
• AAMA, RMA, NRCMA, NCMA, CCMA certification required
• Active BLS/CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years experience as a CMA in an ambulatory setting is preferred.
