About The Position

Medcor is currently looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with a National Certification to provide high-quality clinical care and administrative support in an employer based clinic setting on short term basis (full time hours) in Richland/Hanford, Washington. The clinic performs basic primary and urgent care in addition to treating work place injuries. The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday, 6AM to 4:30PM, or Monday - Thursday, 6:30am to 5pm at the Hanford onsite clinic. This position is $22-$24 per hour, based on experience, depending on experience. The role is expected to last approximately three months, with the opportunity to continue in a PRN capacity after completion. The Medical Assistant will provide excellent clinical care in an AP clinic and will assist in the care and treatment of patients in the clinic environment. The position's responsibilities also include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, on-site Providers, RNs and MAs, and key contacts within the client's corporate structure. This position in rare occasions could work weekend or on-call hours. A typical day in the life of a Medcor Medical Assistant: Provide superior customer service to clinic patients and Medcor's client Schedule appointments, greet patients, manage clinic traffic, and conduct follow up calls Record keeping, and running reports with state of the art electronic medical software Assist with clinical exams (vital signs), procedures, and labs Conduct drug and alcohol tests Conduct Respiratory Fit Testing Conduct Audio Testing Conduct Spirometry Testing Inventory and stocking of supplies Work collaboratively work with clinic staff, client staff, local medical providers

Requirements

  • Have a valid Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification - This a test based certification, and does expire)
  • Have a valid BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality
  • Be willing to go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable working in a clinic environment
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a CMA
  • Be comfortable and productive working with computers; familiarity with EMR software is a plus
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
