This is a specialized field of primary care that provides services catered towards adults age 18 and older. The services include women’s, men’s health, geriatric and palliative care. Also, care for multiple, complex conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. With dedicated internal medicine and family medicine providers as well as residents, we are able to provide service all aspects of a patient’s care and improve the health of our community. The Certified Medical Assistant I reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Medical Assistant performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
