About The Position

We are seeking a Internal Medicine Certified Medical Assistant , also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Internal Medicine R egistered Medical Assistant (RMA) . The Internal Medicine CMA works in our clinics or physician offices that focus on adult care, chronic disease management, and preventive health. Internal Medicine CMA blends clinical support and administrative tasks to keep our practice running smoothly and to help our physician s provide quality patient care. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
  • Current Medical Assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization
  • Minimum one year experience in a public contact job

  • Experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, take vital signs, review medications, allergies, and medical history
  • Assist with exams and procedures such as injections, wound care, and specimen collection
  • Perform basic lab tests (urinalysis, rapid tests) and prepare samples for the lab, administer medications and vaccines under provider direction
  • Handle patient communication, portal messages, refills, and follow-up instructions and maintain exam rooms/equipment, keep supplies stocked and ready
  • Support care management by tracking preventive screenings, follow-ups, and care gaps
