JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare patients for provider office visit, and greet and escort patient to the exam room Obtain patient's vitals, update the patient's medical history, medications, and allergies Document all screening information electronically in chart in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner Prepare and administer injections as ordered per provider and standing orders Experience in doing depo injections, solumedrol, adult vaccinations and education. Prepare patient in exam room for the exam, treatment or procedure Clean and sterilize all equipment and exam room items according to OSHA and blood born pathogen protocols Performs routine laboratory tests, POC (point of care testing) including venipuncture, (as appropriate) U/A, Upreg, HIV, AC, Strep, Flu, Glucose, HGB, INR Collects specimens and performs routine diagnostic procedures including electrocardiograms, audiograms, and vision tests, injects, TB skin tests, ear irrigations, and assists with minor surgery. Distribute educational materials and resources to the patient as directed by the provider Assist patients with scheduling for follow-up appointments Communicate test results to patient as directed by the provider Maintain a safe, clean, efficient and welcoming environment for patients and staff Perform routine clerical, reception and medical records tasks as needed Respond to urgent needs of the patient Participate in huddles, pre-visit planning, and team meetings
