About The Position

A nonexempt position. Medical assistants function as members of the health care delivery team performing delegated clinical and administrative procedures within the supervising provider’s scope of practice consistent with the CMA’s education, training and experience. Such duties shall not constitute the practice of medicine. This job description is intended to provide basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities, and working conditions may change as needs evolve.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants
• CMA and CPR certifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and ensures cleanliness
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vital signs.
• Assists with patient EKGs.
• Preparing patient charts for appointments
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned by supervision
