About The Position

The Scheduling Coordinator performs general office work, takes written orders from physician’s offices for Breast Imaging procedures, schedules patient appointments in the correct order and provides prep instructions to patients/providers in preparation for examinations. The Scheduling Coordinator also answers phones and works on multiple work queues to schedule patient appointments. Scheduling Coordinators are also trained in receptionist and interviewer duties to include checking patients in for their appointment, answering phones, and updating patient information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or Phlebotomy certification from an approved training program, required
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; particularly in regard to time management
  • Ability to prioritize key objectives while performing daily tasks as well as the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize applicable electronic systems and programs
