Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
- Required experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
- Strong attention to detail and patient communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Interest in working in a healthcare setting focused on education, outreach, and community impact
- Front-office and back-office experience
- Phlebotomy
- EKG
- Point-of-care (POC) testing
- Patient scheduling
- Rooming patients
- Taking vital signs
- BLS or CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations
- Perform front- and back-office duties including scheduling and answering phones
- Take and document vital signs
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
- Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
- Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
- Provide clinical and administrative support as needed
- Collaborate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
