About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant provides both front-office and back-office clinical support in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical procedures, administrative tasks, and coordination with clinical staff to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care. Strong collaboration with the care team is essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
- Required experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
- Strong attention to detail and effective patient communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Active BLS or CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet, room, and assist patients during clinic visits
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
- Administer vaccines and assist with point-of-care (POC) testing
- Conduct EKGs as required
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Answer phones and assist with front-office duties
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Provide general clinical and administrative support as needed
