Learn more at www.NashvilleCARES.org Clinic Overview:Our clinic provides a wide range of services, including HIV care, prevention (PrEP and PEP), STI testing and treatment, and overall sexual health services. We are looking for a bilingual Certified Medical Assistant who is committed to delivering inclusive, patient-centered care and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Active CMA certification in the state of Tennessee
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting as a CMA or LPN preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
  • Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills
  • Candidates must be able to commute to or relocate to Nashville, TN 37204 prior to their start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EMR systems is a plus (please specify if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs and recording medical histories and medications
  • Perform phlebotomy and administer medications, including injections
  • Collect and handle lab specimens for both in-house and external testing
  • Support providers during clinical procedures and technical tasks
  • Manage front-line responsibilities such as answering calls, scheduling appointments, and triaging patient concerns
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
  • Ensure clinic spaces are clean, organized, and welcoming for patients
  • Handle sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality
  • Respond to challenging situations with professionalism and a patient-focused approach
  • Participate in required trainings, including HIV-related education and organizational initiatives
  • Contribute to quality improvement efforts and daily clinic operations
  • Perform additional duties as needed
