About The Position

A Certified Med Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. This position demands unwavering attention to detail, strict adherence to protocols, and a commitment to providing exceptional care. We offer a competitive benefits package and a base rate of $16 per hour. This position requires availability for weekends and holidays as needed. Provide essential assistance to residents with activities of daily living, maintaining their dignity and independence. Administer medications with utmost precision and safety, including oral, ophthalmic, optic, nasal, rectal, and topical forms, as prescribed by the physician. Implement a rigorous three-step verification process before administering any medication: Confirm resident identity Verify correct medication Ensure proper dosage, form, route, timing, and frequency (e.g., 1 hour after meals) Maintain strict compliance with medication labeling requirements to prevent potential errors. Uphold the highest standards of care and safety in all aspects of medication management and resident interaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Completion and certification of a recognized Medication Administration course.
  • 1 year experience or training, preferably working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry
  • Important Note: A comprehensive pre-employment background check is mandatory and will be conducted prior to employment.
