About The Position

SUMMARY: Acts as facilitator, educator and resource person for staff, physicians and breastfeeding families throughout the childbearing cycle. Provides educational programs and participates in the development and implementation of a comprehensive breastfeeding program. Assists in establishing and maintaining the standard of care for breastfeeding families through participation in continuous quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• BSN required, MS preferred. Graduate from accredited school of nursing.
• Requires a minimum of three years of experience in Maternal Child Health Nursing.
• A minimum of 1 year teaching experience with adult learners preferred.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Maintains lactation consultant (IBLCE) and a Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) certifications
