Come join our team and our growing Certified Investigation Department in Allegheny County, PA. ANR is seeking a dedicated, professional, and self-motivated individual looking to make a difference. As a Certified Investigator, you will conduct community-based investigations into allegations of abuse or harm involving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Must be currently or willing to become a Certified Investigator through the PA Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). ANR covers the cost of becoming a Certified Investigator! Full-time - (40 hours/week) Fully Remote – with regional travel for investigations Flexible Schedule – create your own schedule within required deadlines (excellent for work/life balance!!) Mileage Reimbursement – paid at the state-set rate Pay Rate - $20/hour

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field.
  • Willingness to become a Certified Investigator through the PA ODP (training provided and paid for).
  • Professional experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, their family members, and other service professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills, independent work ethic, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and travel regionally.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current Certified Investigation status with Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).
  • Available and able to conduct timely, thorough, and objective investigations, initiating the process within 24 hours of assignment.
  • Serve as the lead Certified Investigator in assigned areas and provide backup support to others as needed.
  • Identify and interview relevant witnesses and conduct thorough and objective witness interviews.
  • Understanding and implementing the Certified Investigative process independently.
  • Compile clear and comprehensive evidence into a Certified Investigation Report.
  • Ensure all forms of documentation are gathered and organized to complete evidence file.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism while conducting certified investigations.
  • Use required technology (cell phone, camera, laptop) effectively during investigations.
  • Stay up to date with systems including HCSIS, MyODP, EIM, and E-System.
  • Willingness to provide coverage for initial assignment of cases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the agency.
