About The Position

BAYADA is seeking Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide meaningful personal care, household support, and companionship services to adults, enabling them to live safely and independently at home. The company is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization committed to high-quality care and employee satisfaction. As an HHA, you will work one-on-one with clients, developing close relationships while being supported with training, flexibility, and a dedicated team. The role involves following a written plan of care by a registered nurse. BAYADA is currently recruiting for HHAs to serve patients in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Cumberland, and Salem counties. Training and assistance with the CHHA application process with the New Jersey Consumer Affairs Board of Nursing are available.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year work experience
  • Current HHA - Home Health Aide license listed in good standing with the board (training and application assistance available)
  • A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
  • A commitment to being present and providing quality care
  • Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
  • Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse
  • Provide personal care services
  • Provide household support
  • Provide companion care (homemaker) services
  • Help adults stay safe and independent at home
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
  • Provide household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc.
  • Perform meal preparation and feeding
  • Assist with range of motion/exercises
  • Assist with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Perform vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
  • Perform Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.
  • Provide medication assistance
