About The Position

BAYADA is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people live their best lives at home by providing high-quality care. The company is urgently hiring Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) to join its personal care and companionship team. This role involves providing one-on-one support to adult clients with activities of daily living, household support, and companion care to ensure their safety and independence at home. BAYADA offers training for those without prior experience, including assistance with the CHHA application process with the New Jersey Consumer Affairs Board of Nursing, with courses priced at $250. The position serves patients in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Cumberland, and Salem counties, offering flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts. Requirements

  • Minimum one year work experience
  • Current HHA - Home Health Aide license listed in good standing with the board
  • A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
  • A commitment to being present and providing quality care
  • Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
  • Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned
  • Commitment to delivering patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home
  • Follow a written plan of care by a registered nurse
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care
  • Provide household support such as light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making
  • Perform meal preparation and feeding
  • Assist with range of motion exercises
  • Assist with ambulation, transfers, and the use of mechanical lifting devices
  • Provide medication reminders and assistance
  • Conduct vital sign checks (temperature, pulse, respiration)
