Provides patient care. Assesses and evaluates patients, documents findings, and establishes goals and treatment plans. Fabricates appropriate upper extremity splints to increase range of motion and/or function. Documents patient treatments, evaluations, and progress. Communicates with staff, physicians, and outside agencies in order to report patient progress. Instructs and orients students and volunteers in the Occupational Therapy Department. Establishes and reviews home exercise programs. Develops and implements hand therapy followship program and coordinated continuing education seminars. Other duties as assigned.
