About The Position

Overview Measure and fit for products associated with uncomplicated and complex health conditions associated with two areas of expertise: mastectomy and compression. Assist clients with product selection, providing accurate information for products carried by A Wellness Place. Responsibilities Serves as a role model related to scheduling appointments, the assignment of physician orders and maintains productivity based on scheduled and unscheduled patient appointments. Participates in daily operating Provides assistance with product inventory maintenance. Conducts inventory transactions accurately and efficiently according to departmental Receives and screens calls, visitors and patient appointments. Handles routine or difficult matters, researching and resolving patient concerns. Routes others appropriately. Routinely works with sensitive or confidential information, documents issues, provides information regarding other Northside services and/or providers as needed. Maintains technical training in the use of products pertinent to the management of complex patient health conditions related to compression and mastectomy scope of services (annual maintenance of BOC or ABC certification). Maintain skill and techniques for the management of complex compression garments, mastectomy garments and patient health conditions. Provides patient education relating to specific products available and the proper use and application of such products. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to manager. Maintains a clean, neat and safe environment, in compliance with infection control and other applicable policies. May witness patient signature of consent Stays current with vendors, training and new Qualifications REQUIRED High School Diploma or Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality. Must be proficient in the use of personal computer, word processing software such as Microsoft Office. Compression Fitters must complete a Certificate of Current BLS card (CPR). PREFERRED One (1) or two (2) years of college education Prior healthcare and/or retail ABC or BOC Insurance Verification and or billing experience. Work Hours: 8am-4:30pm
