About The Position

Responsibilities:- The inspector will perform coating inspection services during coating activities associated with the South Jetty Berthing Upgrades Project. Monitor coating application activities at the fabrication shop Verify surface preparation prior to coating application Inspect coating systems to ensure compliance with project specifications Measure coating thickness and record inspection results Verify environmental conditions prior to coating application Ensure contractor compliance with coating standards and procedure Document inspection findings and provide inspection reports to the client Coordinate with the coating contractor and project QA team during inspection activities. Technical Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years coating inspection or industrial QA/QC inspection experience. AMPP / NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level I or higher (required) OSHA 10 or 30 preferred TWIC card preferred (not mandatory) Experience inspecting protective coatings for steel structures Knowledge of surface preparation standards and coating application processes Ability to perform coating thickness measurements, visual inspection, and documentation Familiar with coating inspection equipment (DFT gauges, surface profile gauges, environmental monitoring tools)· Ability to review coating specifications and contractor compliance Experience producing inspection reports and documentation Job Type: 1099 Contractor Project Duration: CURRENT PROJECT: Estimated 2–3 days (depending on coating vendor schedule) >Note: This is a 1099 contract role – project duration may vary based on client needs Shift Hours: CURRENT PROJECT: standard day shift. >Note: As a 1099 contractor, project schedules may vary depending on site availability Location: Must be able to travel to Boston, MA/ Readville, MA 02137 - TBC) and nearby areas (exact CLIENT address can ONLY be shared once contractor is confirmed)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years coating inspection or industrial QA/QC inspection experience.
