About The Position

Wesley Behavioral Health Services LLC is seeking a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) to provide community-based and outpatient substance use services to adults experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This position will initially begin as a part-time role supporting our Community Support Team (CST), providing substance use–focused skill building, recovery support, and care coordination. As referrals increase, the position will transition to a full-time role providing services within our SAIOP/SACOT programs. This role emphasizes recovery-oriented care, relapse prevention, and supporting individuals in maintaining stability across levels of care.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) credential (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
  • Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery principles, and co-occurring conditions.
  • Ability to build rapport with adults experiencing complex behavioral health and substance use needs.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and person-centered care.
  • CADC certification required.
  • Experience working with adults with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing community-based or outpatient substance use services is preferred.
  • Prior experience providing community-based services, outpatient treatment, or structured substance use programming is preferred.
  • Experience facilitating groups or providing structured recovery-focused interventions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide substance use–focused skill-building, recovery support, and case management services to adults receiving CST services.
  • Deliver SAIOP/SACOT services upon transition to full-time, including individual and group substance use counseling as applicable.
  • Support individuals in developing relapse prevention skills, recovery goals, and healthy coping strategies.
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources, treatment services, and recovery supports.
  • Coordinate care with internal clinical staff and external providers, including detox facilities, residential programs, inpatient services, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to support individualized service and treatment plans aligned with client goals.
  • Monitor client progress and support continuity of care across services and levels of treatment.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with agency policies and state requirements.
