The Certificate/IRA Administration provides members with the proper forms and information to accurately manage their Certificates, and IRA's, while satisfying IRS documentation requirements, and to make corrections to shares, IRA's, and Certificates in compliance with Federal and IRS regulations and established policy. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Requirements

  • High School (Required)
  • 3-6 years’ experience with PSECU in a position requiring similar knowledge, skills, and abilities | Required
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education. | Required

Responsibilities

  • Policy and Regulation Compliance: Maintain thorough knowledge of PSECU policies and IRS regulations related to IRAs, Coverdell ESAs, and certificates. Ensure all IRA requests and transactions comply with these regulations.
  • Certificate and IRA Management: Handle set-ups, penalty transactions, partial withdrawals, and maturity redemptions for regular and IRA Certificates. Monitor and correct Regular Shares, IRA Shares, Regular Certificates, and IRA Certificates.
  • Member Communication and Counseling: Interpret member needs and communicate effectively with members lacking IRA or certificate knowledge. Counsel members on various aspects of IRAs, including requirements at RMD age and beneficiary distribution options.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Process IRA paperwork using Ascensus’ IRA processing platform. Maintain member files, including documentation for all IRA Beneficiary accounts. Process reports pertaining to Certificates and IRAs.
  • Operational Tasks: Handle department mail, update the Certificate Rate Chart weekly, and track productivity using daily desk stat sheets.
  • Member Service and Transaction Processing: Process psecu@home emails and member phone calls, through the Interaction Center. Perform financial transactions per member’s requests on share and loan accounts. Create, delete, or modify Share Transfers on shares/tax plans and certificates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
