About The Position

HelloPest, Inc. is a Mechanism portfolio company on a mission to make homes cleaner, safer, and healthier. Our flagship product, the PestRx, replaces outdated traps and poisons with a modern, humane, technology-driven solution. We are redefining a $10B+ legacy industry by delivering effective and toxin-free pest protection directly to consumers. HelloPest is a validated DTC brand with a proven acquisition engine and a $2M run rate. We are quickly approaching full profitability. As the CEO of HelloPest, your mission is to take this validated foundation and transform it into a robust profit center. You will own the entire business, including P&L, board management, supply chain, product development, and the scaling of our growth engine. This is a role for a hands-on builder and growth operator. You will personally own the growth strategy, execute the media buying, manage the creative output, and make the hard calls under pressure. You will build (and rebuild) systems until the mission is complete. If your instinct is to hire others to do all the work immediately, this isn't for you. We need a leader who finds the leverage points themselves before building a team around them. However, as you prove the model at scale, your role will evolve. You will build a lean, high-performance team to support you as you expand into new product lines and channels, aiming to dominate the modern pest control category. As the CEO, you will have access to Mechanism’s in-house Practice Areas for operational support across Growth, Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, People, Finance, and Legal. Our in-house experts are at the top of their fields and are here to provide world-class strategic guidance and execution. Additionally, you will participate as a member of the company’s board of directors.

Requirements

  • Proven DTC Experience: A track record of scaling a direct-to-consumer brand from $1 - $10M+ in revenue, specifically with physical products.
  • Deep Growth Literacy: Expertise in the mechanics of growth (acquisition, activation, retention) and the rigorous management of paid media budgets.
  • Operational Rigor: Experience managing inventory, 3PLs, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Commercial Mindset: A history of driving revenue and profit, not just user growth.
  • Analytical Rigor: The ability to build your own models and dashboards to track daily performance.
  • Leadership Potential: The capacity to eventually hire, train, and lead a high-performance team as the business scales.

Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L and the Mission: You are accountable for taking the company to significant profitability in year 1.
  • Drive Product-Led Growth: Architect and optimize the user journey to maximize conversion, retention, and LTV across our business lines.
  • Drive Performance Marketing: Optimize and scale paid acquisition channels (e.g., Google, Meta, TikTok) to ensure high-volume, profitable customer acquisition.
  • Build the Team: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of top performers. You will set the standard for talent density and execution velocity.
  • Set the Strategy: Own and develop the strategic vision of the business in coordination with the board of directors.
  • Identify and Capture Alpha: Relentlessly hunt for high-leverage opportunities—new channels, new products, or operational efficiencies—that create non-linear value.
