Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will support the design, development, and qualification of oil-free centrifugal compressors for HVACR systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside product and design engineers in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • HVACR certification plus two (2) years of experience , or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic/mechanical skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree plus three (3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Brazing and soldering experience.
  • Automotive or diesel mechanical knowledge and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test centrifugal compressors following detailed engineering build instructions.
  • Operate laboratory assembly and measurement equipment, including hydraulic presses, micrometers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, voltage meters, and standard hand tools.
  • Fabricate supporting components for non-standard tests, including brazing, soldering, grinding, sanding/lapping, drilling/tapping, and wiring.
  • Collect and document build data to ensure compliance with standards and takt times.
  • Assist with general laboratory upkeep and maintenance.
