MSI Metro Sales Inc. is seeking an Employee-Owner, Centralized Services Engineer to join us in our Roseville, MN Office. This role will oversee the delivery and efficiency of MSI's tools and applications to our internal and external customers while delivering world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will understand Centralized Services objectives, the role and function of internal team members.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Hands‑on experience designing, developing, testing, and consuming RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL, and webhook APIs. OR 15+ yrs of experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity virtualization/containerization (Docker or Kubernetes) for API services.
  • Experience with iPaaS or integration tools such as (Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Zapier, etc.).
  • Local candidates.

Nice To Haves

  • Will possess in-depth knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, hardware and software applications.
  • Proven track record integrating disparate software platforms via API.
  • Will have or willingness to attain additional certifications in technologies such as Microsoft Windows, Azure, Fortinet, networking, storage and security, scripting/automation, CAP.
  • Exhibit strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • High level organizational, project management, coordination and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Owns and understand how to deliver positive Customer experience and develop strong professional relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and update scripts, databases, applications, and automations including REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and webhook APIs to optimize tool implementation, management, and effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as PowerShell, Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or .NET (C#) to build integration layers, custom connectors, and micro‑services.
  • Develop and maintain API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), versioning, and change‑management procedures.
  • Liaise with internal customers and peers to resolve issues with tools and applications.
  • Provide accurate reports and metrics to leadership on the status and performance of MSI's tools and applications.
  • Participate or lead in training on all tools and applications for staff and customers.
  • Opportunity to design, maintain process and procedural documentation of MSI's tools and applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
