About The Position

Pacific Medical Group , of Praxis Health, is seeking candidates interested in serving as our next Centralized Scheduling Coordinator in beautiful Oregon City . This self-driven position is responsible for centralized inbound and outbound Primary Care phone calls. The centralized scheduling department is the single scheduling point of contact for all of Praxis Health, Pacific Medical Group Clinics. Standard Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Essential Job Functions: Consecutively and accurately fills open appointment slots, in order to maximize provider schedules. Schedule appointments according to accurate appointment reason codes and provider-specific rules. Collect and/or confirm patient demographics and insurance details. Routinely work recalls and waitlists to keep provider’s schedules full and patients optimally scheduled. Proactively monitor provider’s schedules for accurate scheduling adherence. Adheres to the company’s phone handling competencies. Schedule appointments according to payer measures and government program requirements, in order to maintain an emphasis on patient outcomes. Monitors and responds to internal communications, including but not limited to tasks, emails, phone calls, instant messages, and newsletters (as applicable). Understands the importance and complies with our patient experience objectives. Understand and adheres to HIPAA, HITECH and Medicare compliance, policies, procedures and regulations. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum two years of experience in healthcare setting, preferably multi-specialty medical practice.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Must have a clear understanding of scheduling and call center skill set/competencies and the ability to openly receive input and feedback.
Excellent organization, time management, and customer service skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates confidentiality, accountability, and ethical behavior.
Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands for deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
Work is performed in an office environment.
Involves frequent contact with staff and patients.

Nice To Haves

Centralized scheduling experience preferred.
Experience using Greenway Intergy Practice Management a plus.
