About The Position

Morrow County Health District (MCHD) is seeking a full-time Central Supply Lead in Heppner, OR. The Central Supply Lead works in the Central Supply Department in accordance with laws, regulations, established policies and procedures, and guidelines pertaining to hospital and district operations.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of inventory management and procurement practices and software.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform work in accordance with hospital laws, regulations, and established District policies and procedures.
Plan and direct procurement, inventory, and storage of all medical and non-medical supplies for the District
Respond promptly to staff requests for supply acquisition.
Select vendors and supplies, conduct research, evaluate suppliers, analyze price proposals, receive goods, and negotiate group purchasing contracts.
Coordinate inventory audits with Finance team to assure they are done and complete reports in Excel.
Attend purchasing group meetings and maintain current contracts with vendors and group.
Develop and implement department policies and procedures in coordination with supervisor.
Coordinate with maintenance for deployment of new equipment.
Maintain supply item master and other master files in the electronic inventory system; review weekly and monthly reports for accuracy and make changes as needed.
Research vendors for best prices and quality on special orders and perform all tasks in a fiscally prudent manner.
Prepare department reports as required.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
