Organization: VWCH ASC OR Job Summary: The Central Sterile Processing Technician decontaminates, cleans, packages and sterilizes all instruments/equipment and other supplies used in the hospital as well as maintains appropriate documentation. . Vanderbilt Health is currently hiring a Sterile Processing Technician at the Vanderbilt Surgery Center in Lebanon. Position Highlights Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. No nights, weekends, holidays, or call. Must have one of the following certifications in order to be considered: Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or Certified Sterile Processing Technician - The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. 1 year of sterile processing experience is required but 2 or more years of experience is preferred. The sign on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. The sign-on bonus is only available for full-time positions. Requirements

• Must have one of the following certifications in order to be considered: Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or Certified Sterile Processing Technician - The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc
• 1 year of sterile processing experience is required
• High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and cleans instruments for the operating room.
• Assembles instrument sets to be used in procedures.
• Sterilizes instruments.
• Adheres to practices and policies outlined to ensure patient safety and follows infection control standards.
