Central Scheduling Authorization Specialist

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Authorization Specialist to join our Centralized Scheduling Department at our Crestline location. Position Overview Contacts payers to request service authorization. Collects financial and/or demographic information from patients and clinical information from patient charts, orders, or providers.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience
- At least two years of experience in a healthcare setting performing related tasks
- Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in healthcare or business administration and/or related coursework
- Successful completion of courses in medical terminology and human anatomy
- Experience with EPIC information systems
