Job Summary: The Central Scheduler is responsible for managing and coordinating nursing and Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) schedules across the Medical/Surgical Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, and the Ray of Hope Geriatric Psychiatric Unit. This role plays a key part in maintaining safe staffing levels, responding to call-outs, and working collaboratively with department directors to ensure smooth, uninterrupted patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff schedules for multiple clinical units including Med/Surg, ICU, ED, and Ray of Hope.
• Ensure each shift is properly staffed according to the hospital’s staffing matrix and guidelines.
• Input and maintain accurate scheduling records in UKG (or other scheduling platforms).
• Monitor performance management alerts for call-outs, tardiness, and attendance issues.
• Document all staffing call-outs and report as required.
• Work closely with department directors to resolve staffing shortages and coordinate coverage.
• Maintain an up-to-date list of required float staff and manage float rotation assignments.
