About The Position

The Central Retail Processing Assistant provides back-office support for branch and digital retail services, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer transactions, documentation, and compliance checks. This role supports the Vice President of Central Retail Processing and contributes to efficient, compliant banking operations across all retail locations.

Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
  • Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify day-to-day retail transactions submitted by branch teams, including account openings, closures, customer instruction forms, loan documents, and fund transfers.
  • Review submitted documentation for accuracy and completeness and follow up with branches on any discrepancies.
  • Assist with daily transaction reconciliations and reporting for audit and control purposes.
  • Assist with resolving processing issues or system-related concerns as they relate to the central processing area
  • Maintain secure and organized filing of physical and electronic documents in accordance with bank policy.
  • Support the onboarding of new banking products and services from an operational perspective.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
