About The Position

The Central Processing Distribution Technician provides daily resource support to the Hospital concerning equipment, sterile and non-sterile supplies. This role involves working in conjunction with SPD for storing and distributing equipment and supplies. The position is at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, which is part of Keck Medicine of USC, a university-based medical system known for academic excellence, world-class research, and specialized patient care.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of handling of medical equipment and supplies per recommended infection control guidelines
• Must be extremely organized
• Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior
• Ability to speak, read, and writes English

Nice To Haves

• One-year experience in a CPD environment
• Experience in Acute Care hospital
• Computer literacy

Responsibilities

• Provide daily resource support to the Hospital related to equipment, sterile and non-sterile supplies
• Work in conjunction with SPD in storing and distributing equipment and supplies
• Mobilize equipment timely to areas needing equipment
• Assist with performing stock inventories and restocking of supplies
