Central Processing Distribution Technician (Non-Certified) - CPD - Per Diem 8 Hour Variable Shift (Union)
About The Position
The Central Processing Distribution Technician provides daily resource support to the Hospital related to equipment, sterile and non-sterile supplies, working in conjunction with SPD in storing and distributing these items. This position is part of Keck Medicine of USC, specifically at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a community hospital in the Foothills area of Los Angeles backed by an academic medical center. Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of handling of medical equipment and supplies per recommended infection control guidelines
- Must be extremely organized
- Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior
- Ability to speak, read, and writes English
Nice To Haves
- One-year experience in a CPD environment
- Experience in Acute Care hospital
- Computer literacy
Responsibilities
- Provide daily resource support to the Hospital related to equipment, sterile and non-sterile supplies
- Work in conjunction with SPD in storing and distributing equipment and supplies
- Mobilize equipment timely to areas needing equipment
- Assist with performing stock inventories and restocking of supplies
