Position Summary Assigns motor vehicles and drivers to meet daily operational needs for freight transportation.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
5+ years of transportation or dispatch experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and transportation management applications.

Responsibilities

Sources drivers and equipment to execute operations efficiently.
Compiles a list of available vehicles and assigns them appropriately.
Records driver staffing requirements for transportation runs.
Prepares a list of extra drivers available for assignments.
Tracks and records all line haul movement in transportation management applications.
Collaborates with dock operators to plan and move intermodal and purchase transportation loads in a timely manner.
Distributes the transmittal of load tenders and informational transfer to and with purchase transportation and intermodal providers.
